The 2020 AAUJROGames was one for the record books for Tallahassee ZOOM despite the many challenges faced this season! We would like to commend all of the ZOOM athletes who competed, gave it their all and represented us, and themselves, to the best of their abilities....
We would like to congratulate our 2 National Champions from this season: Nadia Collins & Curtis Williams! Both athletes brought home the GOLD in the 17-18 Long Jump. For Curtis, this marked his 5th straight national title, and for Nadia, her 3rd straight! We also would like to recognize one of the YOUNGEST members of Tallahassee ZOOM, Mr. Manito Quinones, who despite his age, is already developing an impressive resume. Manito earned All-American status for the 2nd year in the row in the 8U Boy's Long Jump. We had some NEW members of ZOOMNATION get in on the fun down in Satellite Beach as well. Ms. Kyra Swart earned 2 medals and All-American status in the 80m Hurdles and 400m in the 12 Yr Old age division. Makari Vickers also exceeded expectations, earning hardware in the 100m and Long Jump, while narrowly missing out on a 3rd in the 200m in the 15-16 age group. The performer of the week, however, has to be Mr. Izayah Vickers, who earned 3 medals for the week, including the 100m, 200m, and Long Jump in the 11 Yr Old division! We look forward to getting back to training in the coming months and preparing for a successful 2021 campaign! We want to thank all of you for your understanding, flexibility, and support this year. Please stay safe, and look for more info on our 2021 season in the coming months....
We would like to thank WTXL and Alison Posey for spotlighting two members of Tallahassee ZOOM: Curtis Williams & Nadia Collins.

Congrats goes out to Curtis Williams (USATF Florida's Male Athlete of the Year & National Record Holder in the Long Jump) & Nadia Collins (USATF Florida Nat'l Champion) for being recognized for their major accomplishments this past summer. Additionally Curtis was recently recognized as a 2019 recipient of the AAU Joel Ferrell Outstanding Performance Memorial Award. Awarded annually by AAU, the award recognizes the athletic ability and sportsmanship of an athlete representing each official sport at the AAU JR. Olympics. With a leap of 7.46m (24"7), Curtis not only cemented his 1st Place finish at the #AAUJROGames, but set a new age group National Record in the process! We just ended one of our most challenging, yet rewarding seasons at both the USATF & AAU Junior Olympics in Sacramento & Greensboro respectively, and we are proud to say Zoom excelled against the tough National Competition!
USATF JOs Competing out in California, Zoom sent three of our more seasoned athletes, Nadia Collins, Alexandria Kennedy, and Curtis Williams. Despite intense, dry heat (temps exceeded 100 degrees daily), the trio prospered bringing home 2 National titles, and 5 overall medals & All- American titles.
AAU JOs Zoom athletes were back in action this past week as 51 athletes made the 9 hour trek to compete in Greensboro. Zoom faced tough competition all week long, but again, our training, preserverance, and grit won out as Zoom ended the week with 9 individual All-Americans, including 3 National Champs!

Congratulations goes out to Da'Vion Hepburn (3rd place, Long Jump) and Manito Quinones (4th place, Long Jump), who both earned All-American status while competing against some of the nation's best at the AAU Primary National Championships this past weekend in Orlando. Great job fellas- Zoom Nation is proud of you both! CALI- BOUND- USATF REGION 4 RECAP Zoom Nation also was well represented in Rock Hill, SC with 8 of our own competing for a chance to claim a spot at the USATF Jr. Olympics later this month in Sacramento. Folks often refer to Region 4 as the ' Region of Death' because of the difficulty in making it out due to stiff competition and this year was no different. Despite the challenges, Zoom will be well represented in California this year, across 11 events. Advancing to Sacramento are:
