Congratulations Eva Holmes, Dominic Larry, Maddison Green and Curtis Williams for representing Zoom to the utmost today at the FLYRA State Middle School Championship. Eva Holmes placed- 7th in Shotout and 5th in discus, earning medals in both of her events! Eva, a 3-sport star for NFC (basketball, softball and track) competed in only 2 other meets the entire season because she was playing softball!! Congrats Eva, Coach Philpott, and family! Dominic Larry has shown tremendous growth in the sprints this year and this meet was no different. Dom ran a blazing time of 11.24 in the 100 for 7th place and placed 5th in the 200 as well. Congrats Dominic and family! Maddison aided her Fairview teammates in both a 10th place finish in the 4x800 relay and an impressive 8th place finish in the 4x400 relay. Not too bad for a 6th GRADER huh?! Great job Maddison! Curtis Williams did not let two early fouls deter him from his goal of winning a medal at this Championship. Curtis unleashed a long jump of 20'6 to take the 1st place award! Way to go Curtis- your Zoom Family salutes your effort! #ChampionshipSeason #ZoomNation #ZoomStrong The 2017 FHSAA State Finals is in the books and Zoom athletes were able to secure 6 state medals over the weekend!
